Dear Jeff:

A young woman (possibly a student until her identity can be established) has been murdered in her apartment in Van Nuys while she slept & there is no evidence of sexual interference. Detective Joe Friday & his partner, Detective Frank Smith of the Los Angeles Police Department are the nearest responding squad car & so are sent inII investigate. Det. Friday wants to see if anything at the scene was used for the murder, thus leading to possible DNA evidence as to the identity of the killer or killers. He tells patrol officers cordoning off the scene to get cracking while the scene is still fresh & thus a higher chance of success.

"Check the people working the perimeter. Make sure they look for anything that could be a murder weapon."

Joe Friday: Always The Details Man,

Rory
