February XIVth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

There was a lot of love for President Franklin Roosevelt, like his cousin Theodore the XXVIth President, Republican-New York, Franklin obtained the highest office in the land & was widely respected. Pres. Roosevelt was the only person to serve more than II (2) terms in the office & in those brilliant IV (4) terms he served America's youth & their families strongly through both The Great Depression of the MCMXXX's (1930's) through the darkest days of the MCMXL's (1940's) & WWII. With all the admiration for him, perhaps its appropriate that Executive Dissertations is typing out this blog for FDR (in red text of course) on Saint Valentines Day. Here, the President talks about the importance of education in a democracy.

"Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared to choose wisely. The real safeguard of democracy, therefore, is education."

March IVth, MCMXXIII (1933)-April XIIth, MCMXLV (1945),

Rory

A very apposite comment indeed for an education-focused blog.

I agree & writing in red, with the democratic & progressive conservative party monikers in proper blue shading was also superb!
