The Very Height Of Hypocrisy

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

November VIth, MMXXI

Hon. Adriana LaGrange, MLA, Minister of Education, United Conservative, Red Deer-North

Dear Adriana:

I agree with your staff in Fort McMurray from Alberta Education that Brian Jean, B. Sc., LL. B., QC makes a rather intriguing choice as a Fort-McMurray-Lac La Biche byelection candidate. Especially if he becomes the nominee because the United Conservative Party (UCP) would thus hold the seat rather than have it become a New Democratic Party (NDP) pickup or "protest vote." The fact that they would suggest Alan Hallman for Jean's campaign manager is ever so intriguing. Al, "the ever Kenney loyalist" would certainly do a great job & signal to UCP members that it's time for the Hon. Premier Jason Kenney, PC, MLA, United Conservative, Calgary-Lougheed to "stand down" without a fight to ensure his party survives unfractured.

Also when the Premier castigated Mr. Jean by saying he didn't finish term as MP or MLA, let us remind Albertans that Mr. Kenney resigned on September XXIIIrd, MMXVI as a member of Her Majesty's Loyal Official Conservative Opposition & MP despite promising to serve his full MMXV-MMXIX term. So he's being a hypocrite to as he & Mr. Harper resigned that same year, a full 3 years before there last federal term was up. Causing two 800 thousand $ byelections in Calgary taxpayers didn't need to pay for (ah shades of "he's dead Jim" Prentice who also quit early as an MP & refused to serve as an MLA when booted from power) in Calgary-Heritage & Calgary-Midnapore.

Calgary-Heritage

Calgary-Midnapore

A side note as the lawsuit against The Office Of The Premier states that both former Agriculture Minister Devin Dreeshen, MLA, United Conservative, Innisfail-Sylvan Lake, & Hon. Tyler Shandro, MLA, Minister of Labour (nee Health), United Conservative, Calgary-Acadia are drunks. I give Devin full marks for standing down early to deal with his alcoholism. Perhaps Ty should do the same & exit cabinet & very soon. Of course as I used to make cabinets with my dad in his furniture store, I could make these 2 boozers liquor cabinets to custom fit for storage in the Legislature Bvilding!

As for Brian, he resigned after losing the UCP leadership race. The winner, Jason Kenney refused to talk to him or include him in on decisions. Brian was also great in helping folks as Her Majesty's Loyal Official Wildrose Opposition Leader during the Fort Mac fire crisis. Also the fact that Alberta Health Services (AHS) murdered his son through gross mismanagement of his health care. Sort of like they are doing on the Covid-19 file.

Kenney Should Resign & "Take A Look In The Mirror",

Rory

October XVIIIth, MMXXI

Hon. Adriana LaGrange, MLA, Minister of Education, United Conservative, Red Deer-North

Dear Adriana:

So "This Is It", the big day when election teams get out their vote & organize any possible strategies for trying to track it. Two hard fought campaigns in a row, federal & municipal, sixty-five days in a row with no rest. I am sure as hell glad its over & I wasn't even a candidate, haha! Let us hope its a nice clean vote & the people's choices for civic leaders are all validated quickly so the new councils across Alberta can get on with Her Majesty's Municipal Governments business for the next IV years!

No More Elections Please For Awhile,

Rory

Political Office Holder Safety

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, The Dominion Of Canada T5N 1G8 Alberta Security Guard License #W021280

October XVIIth, MMXXI

Hon. Adriana LaGrange, MLA, Minister of Education, United Conservative, Red Deer-North

Dear Adriana:

I am truly sorry to hear of the murder of Cypress County Ward IX Councillor Alfred Belyea, representing Jenner & Suffield. Then to find out his wife has been charged with his murder. I mean what can I say? I feel sorry for Coun. Belyea's family as they have to lay him to rest & go through the indignity of a trial for Mrs. Belyea.

This is just like that murder on Friday of that popular Tory backbench British MP Sir David Amess, representing Southend-West for over XXXVIII (eight & thirty) consecutive years (amazing record), getting stabbed to death, so very tragic, a true "man of the people." We must learn to protect our politicians/decision makers better, backbencher or cabinet officer whilst still making them available to the public, (we have to strike a balance on just how public they are for their own safety) especially their constituents, as well as their families & staffs. Thus we must give Her Majesty's security teams the very best of resources to do their jobs with!.

Since the days of The Dominion Of Canada's first political assassination, that of sitting Conservative MP Thomas D'Arcy McGee, representing Montreal-West in MDCCCLXVIII (1868), in Her Majesty Queen Victoria's Government of The Rt. Hon. Sir John A Macdonald, Conservative, representing Kingston, there has always been this risk & its just sad as these politicians give up so much of their family lives to serve we can do better!

Deeply Depressing,

Rory

The Michelle Don Draper

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

October XVIth, MMXXI

Hon. Adriana LaGrange, MLA, Minister of Education, United Conservative, Red Deer-North

Dear Adriana:

An Editor's Note: Out of sequence today to ensure I am covered, before I begin the quotation from the last retiring Trustee, I should point out that the Ward A Edmonton Public School Board Trustee now on an interim basis is Ward D Trustee & Edmonton Public School Board Chairwoman Trisha Estabrooks, who is indeed running for another term in Ward D. Having run against the Trustee in Ward A in what MMX (2010) who resigned in MMXX (2020), a year before her term ended, I would feel it untoward of me to commentate on her departure, I feel that I might be in some sort of "a conflict of interest" electorally speaking with Edmonton Elections, law enforcement, & Hon. Ric McIver, MLA, Minister of Municipal Affairs, United Conservative, Calgary-Hays your caucus colleague (among others.) I am not aware of the situation at all as to her departure nor do I wish to know. So to be totally fair & transparent, I will not talk about the Ward A Candidates wanting to replace her except to name them.  In this way no one Ward A Candidate has any tactical advantage or disadvantage over the others, its just my way.

1. Perry Chahal.  2. Sherri O'Keefe.  3. Everline Oloo.  4. Sheeraz Rahman.  5. Belen Samuel.

Editor's Note 2: I will also not do a quote from Ward F Trustee Michael Janz since he is running for Edmonton City Council in Ward Papastew, so is not retiring from public office attempts. Nor will I do a quote from Ward H Trustee Nathan Ip who like Trustee Estabrooks is going for another School Board term.

As she prepares to move onto a new venture, Ward B Edmonton Public School Board Trustee Michelle Draper looks at the greatness in having more & more students join Edmonton Public Schools for their education.

"In fact we're closer to 102,500 students that have made Edmonton Public their home & are completing their education with us. Which is very exciting & we're very proud as a district to welcome all of those students."

Strength In Numbers,

Rory
