Dear Dave:
I am hear at the Northgate Mall Alberta Works Centre helping a senior citizen fill in some online forms for benefits. The staff here is quite amazing as they are helping students at some of the other computers look for part time work so they can have some funds for cost of living while they attend school.
Gated,
Rory

Dear Dave:
I enjoy jazz, still others enjoy different forms of music. The more music types that students of all ages are exposed to, the more they will appreciate them & thus bring future generations of fans to many musical genres.

November XXth, MMXVII
Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder
Dear Dave:
The Alberta Party seems to be the place to be if you want blatant resentment & corruption. Here we have ex Alberta Liberal Leadership Candidate Kerry Cundal joining Greg Clark, MLA, Alberta Party, Calgary-Elbow & his cadre. She's all uppity despite the fact that Darshan Kang, MP, Independent, Calgary-Skyview was caught selling multiple Alberta Liberal memberships with the same email on them in order to rig the vote for her. This despite the fact that Alberta Liberal rules stated that each membership sold have to have a separate email. And Mrs. Cundal may run for Alberta Party Leader with extreme bitterness I might add.
Then we have Greg Clark possibly running to succeed himself as Interim Alberta Party Leader to succeed himself as Alberta Party Leader. Joe Clark & Mister Diefenbaker & I believe Joey Smallwood are prime examples of this & I believe all failed. On top of this you have the Stephen Mandelites threatening Alberta Liberal Party President Karen Sevcik directly & trying to force her to fold the Grits into the Alberta Party. All this despite the fact its Alberta Social Credit that has the momentum for MMXIX.
The Alberta Party says its a serious choice for Albertans in the byelection in YYC-Lougheed on December XIVth. Yet they don't even have the courage to run a byelection candidate. The Alberta Liberals who are more poorly organized are running their Leader Dave Khan. It shows the Alberta Liberals want to have an electoral presence while the Alberta Party is running around like a chicken with its head chopped off.
Then, we have recent Edmonton Mayoral Candidate Mike Butler whose home is in foreclosure saying he is going to run for Alberta Party Leader. He can't even keep the framing up of his own house, how in the hell could he frame a stable centrist political party? Mike even said Wade Izzard was faking his injury, despite the fact he saw Wade sitting in a wheelchair with his artificial leg at a function.
Then we have now Former III term St. Albert Mayor Nolan Crouse also joining the Alberta Party. Why in the hell would they accept him as a party member when he literally crapped all over the Alberta Liberals & quit as the only registered Alberta Liberal Leadership candidate just II days before the filing deadline for candidates? Thus forcing the Grits to run the two also ran second-tier Calgary lawyers Candidate Cundal (as already mentioned above) & the winning Candidate Dave Khan who believes he as a better chance of becoming Alberta Premier than Rachel has of winning a IInd term: BE SERIOUS!
And Nolan While Still Mayor Was Convicted Of Corruption In St. Albert Courts,
Rory

"Tea: A Drink With Jam & Bread!"
November XVIIIth, MMXVII
Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder
Dear Dave:
I myself enjoy tea, particularly herbal tea which makes my internal system feel better after I have a cup. My dear late mother Mrs. June C. Koopmans, B. Ed., the tea granny extraordinaire loved it to. Some students & their families will enjoy tea, some with not. Students have to learn that we as people must embrace the different tastes of all sorts of people in life.

Dear Dave:
Last week in one of his editorials, the great radio host Mr. Charles Adler referred to Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad as "The Butcher of Baghdad." Luckily my feline son The Right Hissable The Purr Minister James Redwing Cat Koopmans noticed this error & had me point it out to Charles since I can translate from Meowese. Baghdad is in Iraq, not Syria so J. R. Cat was right when he explained to Charles that "The Despot of Damascus" (the Syrian capital) would have been much more apurrpriate. J. R. Cat is a huge fan of feline fanciers Steve & Laureen Harper & their feline children.

A little extra culture & highbrow art tonight as I head to Cineplex Theatres (TM) to see an exhibition of Venetian Art by excellente Italiano Nuovo Rinascimento artisana Giovanni Antonio Canal or "Canaletto" on screen. Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth The IInd has endorsed these pieces & extraordinary access has been granted to both Buckingham Palace & Windsor Castle for the viewing public to see them. If its the reigning Monarch's stuff, it must be excellent & film students, as well as art students should go see this film if they cannot travel to England to see it personally!

November VIth, MMXVII
Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder
Dear Dave:
After LXXXI (81) glorious years, film students & others will say goodbye to an old friend as the Edmonton Film Society (EFS) shows its last film & the marquee goes dark here at the Glenora former Royal Alberta Museum site: "Casablanca", one of countless thousands of films that have been showcased through Monday at VIII (8) PM screenings for years. Partly due to an aging population & a lack of volunteers (due to the fact many seniors don't want to contribute or are too decrepit in health to do so in many cases), as well as skyrocketing costs with admission rates not following suit, it was time to let go. Sad because seniors are not going to pay $30. to $50. or more to park to see a $5. film at the new downtown location, too impractical. Plus they'd have to fight for Rogers Place event stalls with Oilers fans & for other events. Note: I offered up 4 people in their 30s, myself & 2 in their 20s to keep the film society going in 2014, so its a bit rich for them to claim they had no volunteers plus the museum was willing to let them stay. And the seniors many of whom have money didn't want to pay any more than $5. admission, not even say $6. with $5. being the same price I paid for the 35 plus years of Monday nights I attended with my mom & then later alone after she died!
For some seniors, this is their only night out of the week & the new museum is not friendly to those folks celebrating their "golden years." So as we say goodbye to Rick, Ilsa & overcome our shock, shock at finding that gambling is going on in this establishment, we mourn the loss of a truly great friend & the sadness in the building closure being forced on EFS members by Alberta Infrastructure & Culture when the Monday night screenings should be able to continue in perpetuity: especially as they add to Alberta's rich film culture.

Dear Dave:
Sure there is already the "show & tell" segments in classrooms to give students confidence in public speaking. However, wouldn't it be just great if students could learn to do some of the paperwork of teachers & teaching assistants? This would give them some extra experience in clerical functions.
Assisting & Learning,
Rory
