Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder
Dear Dave:
I find this Alberta Liberal lawyer's argument against Hon. Jason Kenney, PC, MLA, Leader of Her Majesty's Loyal Official Opposition, United Conservative Party, Calgary-Lougheed & his housing arrangements has more holes than a piece of Swiss cheese (although for practical purposes I prefer Dutch Gouda cheese since my family immigrated from The Netherlands.)
I wish to remind the Alberta Liberal Party, their one time candidate, & the progressive left who hate Mr. Kenney so much that the very proud North Carolinian & one term Senator Elizabeth Dole, Republican listed her mother's home & later her retirement residence as her primary residence back in North Carolina. Married to the great Senator & War Hero Bob Dole, Republican-Kansas, Retired: there was no controversy in Mrs. Senator Dole's mailing address lisiting as she & Mr. Senator Dole (like Mr. Kenney) had an ownership stake in both properties & stayed there on trips to visit her mother & Mr. Senator Dole's mother-in-law.
I am by no means a lawyer, & have no legal training beyond a few law courses. But as a layman, I can see the practicality of Mr. Kenney's argument that he broke no residency laws & had ownership together with his parents & then later his mother. What I can see is wrong is that Mr. Kenney was not at the prayer service or funeral for Speaker Zwozdesky. While Derek Fildebrandt, MLA, Freedom Conservative Party, Strathmore-Brooks was at the prayer service & only stayed 22 minutes while not coming to the funeral at all. This was clearly a total lack of respect on their parts. I didn't see Mr. Morrow there either or any ex Liberal MLAs except the solid Hugh Macdonald.
Self-Addressed Envelopes,
Rory
