My VIth Minister Of Education

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

April XXXth, MMXIX

Hon. Adriana LaGrange, MLA-Elect, Minister of Education, United Conservative, Red Deer-North

Dear Adriana:

My sincere congrats on being sworn into Her Majesty's Government's Cabinet under the direction of Hon. Premier Jason Kenney, PC, MLA-Elect, Premier & President of the Executive Council & Minister of Intergovernmental Relations, United Conservative, Calgary-Lougheed.

Just a few minor points in regards to your new office. The review taken up by your predecessor is weak in the context of the Aboriginal Studies 10-30 courses, which are a subset of course of Social Studies. I have 357 High School Credits & 2 High School Diplomas so I know better than any student in Alberta High School History about what courses work & what courses don't, this is undisputed! I myself was denied the right to take these courses through Alberta Distance Learning Centre (ADLC) for several years because I wasn't aboriginal, several staff told me this to my face.

So of course I waited them out & scouted out the correspondence schools province wide waiting to strike & an alternate school let me take them as ADLC had given a whole bunch of the paper copies of the course for free. The revenge for me was all the more sweet as they let me take all 3 courses for free when I explained to them how reverse racist ADLC was to me. I have aboriginal & Metis relatives, why should I not be able to take those courses like any student?

I would however suggest that the Social Studies 10-30 courses go back to teaching more political history & place the history of Ist Nations back in the Aboriginal Studies courses. In this way, Alberta students get the best of both world's, & they avoid the duplication in content that the previous administration put in. I would also suggest that World Geography 30 should definitely be revamped as it has a MCMLXXXVI (1986) time stamp on it & the world & its geography & climate & borders have changed significantly since then.

Enjoy Your Time At The Helm & I Feel Your Past School Trustee Experience Will Be An Asset For Jason,

Rory

Stephen Carter: The Debt Ridden Legend Of Politics

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin.

April XXVIth, MMXIX

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA-Elect
Minister of Education,
New Democratic, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

No wonder this gluttonous debtor & deadbeat is smiling from ear to ear, he got 400 thousand from Redford to work as Chief of Staff for six months. Plus he stuck the Alberta Party with a half past dead senility setting in grandpa in Steve Mandel instead of leaving the party in the hands of Former Interim Leader Greg Clark who succeeded himself as Leader, after succeeding himself as Acting Leader, a much younger person who would have time to build up the party. Steve Carter needs to invest in a toothbrush to clean those yellow teeth. And with his settlement you think he could afford a toothbrush. Thank you Steve for killing the Alberta Party (which is just the PC Alberta wannabees.) Tag on Kenny "Chapstick" Chapman who assisted as he like Steve Carter & all the other "Mandelites" has never had a job like Steve other than phony consultant & you have a great tag team for, wait for it: ZERO SEATS IN THE ALBERTA LEGISLATURE!

Warren & William

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

April XXIInd, MMXIX

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA-Elect, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

I just love the idea of letter writer & reader to The Edmonton Journal of a Mr. Milton Feathersmith. An Iroquois man from Ontario, Milty immigrated to Alberta a few years ago. He suggested to me that Hon. Judge Premier Dave Hancock, B. A., LL. B., QC, one of your predecessors as Education Minister (& the Ist Minister I wrote to in this blog) & later Premier swear in Hon. Jason Kenney, PC, Premier-Designate, MLA-Elect, United Conservative, Calgary-Lougheed as XVIIIth Premier. It would not be strange to have the XVth Premier swear in the XVIIIth nor would it be unprecedented.

Especially when you consider that XXIXth US President Warren Harding, Republican-Ohio appointed his predecessor, the XXVIIth US President William Taft, Republican-Ohio as the Xth Chief Justice Of The United States Supreme Court & swore him in. We have here a predeccessor swearing in a successor Premier: the very reverse situation of Harding & Taft! So as Milty points out on April XXXth, MMXIX we have a chance to make great Alberta political history here by having a Premier swear in a Premier. This would surely please students of the law, not to mention centrists & leftists in the UCP coalition as Hancock came in under difficult circumstances as Interim Premier to calm things from his predecessor's troubles & was quite superb in the job.

April XXth, MMXIX

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA-Elect, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

I am sure pleased that all the "Unofficial Results" are in from Elections Alberta. It may have taken 5 days past the election date itself, but it is absolutely worth to ensure that all "out-of riding" votes are counted. The counts must be precise for students of statistical analysis to make sure the historical record of Alberta's XXXth General Election is absolutely & precisely accurate!

The Transition Process

April XIXth, MMXIX

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA-Elect, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

As the campaign rolls on to the transition of power at High Noon on Tuesday, April XXXth, so 11 days away, it is good for students interested in the political process to see the Premier & Premier-Designate meeting together in peace & harmony. Thus making sure that Rachel can update Jason on files. Having Rachel stay on as Leader of Her Majesty's Loyal Official Opposition will be a bonus as she with her insider's knowledge as a former Premier can hold the government to account as well as assist it in times of crisis.

The Third Provincial Election

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

April XVIIIth, MMXIX

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA-Elect, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

Executive Dissertations is forced to "extend the election writ period" with Overtime blog posts since all of the ballots haven't been counted yet by Elections Alberta due to the "out of riding" votes. As such we are stuck reporting on a third provincial election called during the extension of our election counting time period in the great province of Newfoundland & Labrador by Premier Dwight Ball who is also Liberal Leader. His thoughts are that "It's onward or backward." So if Newfoundlanders & Labradorians vote against his party on May XVIth, MMXIX (precisely a month to the day after our election day) then progress to improve their lives will be stalled.

Progressive Conservative & Opposition Leader Ches Crosbie decries poor leadership: "What we're missing is leadership." Meanwhile New Democratic Leader Alison Coffin has been hard on the trail well in advance: "I've already started knocking on doors of course." NL Alliance Leader Graydon Pelley wants to bring on change: "Together we can make the change we desperately need."

Nixon's Et Deux!

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

April XVIIth, MMXIX

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA-Elect, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

On my 2,112th visit to the Alberta Legislature Bvilding on this the 55th Birthday of your caucus colleague Hon. Premier Rachel Notley, MLA-Elect, New Democratic, Edmonton-Strathcona, Premier & President of the Executive Council, I brought her a most appropriate gift to the Alberta Legislature mail room as per proper Legislature Assembly security protocols & arranged for drop off to said Assembly in advance by phone calls to Alberta Sheriffs security detail & pre-arranged a parking spot in advance on the north east legislature grounds parking lot by contacting parking staff by phone in advance & showing proper photo identification per my arrival as well as providing my proper license plate. A book called "Tricky Dick & The Pink Lady" on the MCML United States Senate race in California between Congressman Richard Nixon, Republican (identified as a "liberal" Republican) & Actress Helen Gahagan Douglas, Democratic. 69 years later the parallels are exact, we have a right wing hard ass candidate in both situations seeking power Richard Nixon/Hon. Premier-Designate Jason Kenney, PC, MLA-Elect, United Conservative, Calgary-Lougheed (a 1 time staffer for Hon. Ralph Goodale, PC, MP & a Federal Liberal like Ralph) versus a Communist (Helen)/Socialist (Rachel) female candidate, it is to a degree a battle of gender & sexual politics. Mrs. Douglas got her revenge when she lived to see "Tricky Dick" resign as US Prez due to the Watergate scandal.

In both situations Candidates Nixon & Kenney never called their female opponents a "communist." Nixon just had staffers release his campaign flyers mention her attending American Communist Party meetings on pink sheets of paper, which she did & fully admitted to. Nor did he call Candidate Douglas, a "pinko", just "the pink lady" or "Mrs. Douglas" And Candidate Kenney never called Candidate Notley anything but "Premier" or "Madam Premier" or "Ms. Notley" or "Premier Notley." I give kudos to both for being extremely respectful of their female opponents personally. I have mentioned this book here before, but the comparison here is absolutely fair.

Here it like anything in life it once again even in modern times comes down to Richard Nixon, as him name lives on in this election with II Nixon's, Jason Nixon, MLA-Elect, United Conservative, Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre (rural) & Jeremy Nixon, MLA-Elect, United Conservative, Calgary-Klein (urban.) And the irony here, Jer got elected from a riding named after Alberta's last IV term Tory Premier! Thus bringing attention to the urban/rural divide!

As for my pal Rachel, she is like her dear late dad Grant a person of class. I believe she'll pull a "Harry Strom" & stay on for a full term as Harry did in Opposition as Leader. Harry having a tough act to follow as Premier Ernest Manning stayed on far to long at seven straight terms as Socred Leader. I'd like to meet Rachel & her husband Lu's kids Sophie & Ethan: Ethan being autistic like me so I feel that I can truly understand where he is coming from!

As for Strathcona which I believe was its own city at the time but the first Premier to represent it was Alberta's Ist Premier, Alexander Rutherford, Liberal. The second being the aforementioned VIIIth Premier Ernest Manning, Social Credit (Strathcona-East), this ties in with the fact that both XIth Premier Don Getty, Progressive Conservative (who was the third as he represented Strathcona-West in the early Lougheed years) & XVth Premier Dave Hancock, Progressive Conservative represented Edmonton-Whitemud. & the fourth "Strathconian" being Rachel who is XVIIth Premier. Just as XIIth Premier Ralph Klein, Progresive Conservative & XIVth Premier Alison Redford, Progressive Conservative represented Calgary-Elbow.

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., Minister of Education, New Democratic Candidate, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

We must encourage all Albertans to vote & be engaged tomorrow as it is Election Day itself. Whether they vote NDP, UCP, Alberta Party or some other choice, or even spoil their ballot, they should vote. I truly believe in making voting mandatory like Australia & some other jurisdictions. It truly would make whomever forms the next Her Majesty's Government & takes over Room #CCCVII (#307), Legislature Bvilding, The Office of the Premier the leader for all Albertans, whether they voted for the winner or not!

RoboCop Versus Robocall

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

April XVth, MMXIX

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., Minister of Education, New Democratic Candidate, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

I am getting pretty god damned sick of all these Robocalls, considering I voted by Special Ballot on March XXVIIth, MMXIX & the competing provincial parties have called me over 70 times since, plus live calls on top of that! I would think they'd stop wasting their resources on me, not to mention the texts, I have received over 50 each from the UCP & NDP alone, as well as 3 from the Alberta Party. So I can kind of understand the frustration of the Ardrossan voter if his allegations are proven true in the RCMP investigation.

Personally I Would Rather Deal With RoboCop,

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., Minister of Education, New Democratic Candidate, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

Always willing to lend a sympathetic ear to Alberta oil interests & fair treatment of the consumer is a Mr. John Ross (J. R.) Ewing The IInd of the Ewing Oil Company Limited & Ewing Global Incorporated affiliated petroleum companies. He & his Little Brother Bobby (Robert James: R. J.) Ewing have Canadian oil interests with their friends the McLeesh Brothers as well so are very upset to hear of Alberta's oil problems getting their petroleum products to market & lack of access to tidewater & pipeline capacity. He makes some candid remarks upon the opening of some J. R. Ewing Gas Stations to reporters in support of Alberta & the average citizen, fair prices & against the left-wing political hijacking & landlocking of our petroleum consumer goods this election season!

"I just wanted you all know that I have been maligned & threatened by my competitors who would prevent me from bringing back affordable gasoline for the consumer. Americans & Albertans have suffered long enough from these high prices & J. R. Ewing is here to give them the break they so justifiably deserve. And I defy anybody, politician or not, in Austin, Edmonton, Washington, or Ottawa to try & stop me!"

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., Minister of Education, New Democratic Candidate, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

Now while United Conservative Party (UCP) Candidate Peter Singh in Calgary-East may have had his Autopro location raided of papers, computers, & other materials by Her Majesty's Royal Canadian Mounted Police, but he did indeed cooperate fully with authorities. As such he has to be presumed "innocent." As such, Elections Alberta, the Elections Commissioner, & UCP Leader Hon. Jason Kenney, PC should not consider removing him as a candidate, especially as the ballots are all printed. If Candidate Singh is found "guilty" (if charges are actually filed) by the Commissioner or if necessary a Court of Law, then he should be removed as the MLA-Elect & never be allowed to take his seat & Elections Alberta should go through the proper procedure of a byelection in Calgary-East immediately instead as per proper legislative protocols to ensure a full Assembly for the new seating!

Nelson Oleson McClung

April XIIth, MMXIX

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., Minister of Education, New Democratic Candidate, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

I may not like Stephen Mandel & the Alberta Party, but I cannot lie & say that he didn't win the Edmonton-McClung All Candidates Forum at Good Shepherd Catholic Church last night. He was actually quite excellent & albeit begrudgingly I will say that he won it on points, he was particularly articulate on health care. The organizer had never done a forum before & she & her beautiful church did a rather superb job. I would also like to point out that I went to get brochures & listen in for an Edmonton-McClung resident who is wheelchair bound & had diabetes issues &therefore unable to attend & was a friend of my late mother June. Since I don't live in the riding I couldn't bias her opinion, I could just sum up the talking points with the liner notes I gave her. I am not endorsing Candidate Mandel but I am also not endorsing any one of his opponents.

The Alberta NDP Candidate Lorne Dach was also very strong in defending NDP core issues & pointing out spending issues & priorities. As was Alberta Advantage Party Leader Marilyn Burns who substituted (& did sublimely) for her Edmonton-McClung Candidate Gordon Perrott who was actually in the audience. This gave his leader a chance to "head-to-head" against another party leader, a chance she was denied by not being allowed to be a part of the television leaders debate due to the poor decision-making process of the lazy Broadcast Media Consortium. So here the AAP had two representatives running for office there which is more than the United Conservative Party & Hon. Jason Kenney, PC could muster. Very embarrassing that in a chat against Mandel that the UCP didn't send in an alternate riding candidate to substitute for Laurie Mozeson, a glaring technical campaign oversight. Its like they didn't want to bother.

I also met a great senior couple who suggested limited Advance Polls in Via Train, Red Arrow Bus, & underground LRT stations in the II main cities. This is quite a brilliant tactic as it would expand Elections Alberta concept of "vote anywhere" to "land, sea, & air." It is fascinating the insight that persons in their eighties come up with!

P.S.: Steve Mandel apologized to me personally for his campaign staff calling me into his office for a IVth datas entry shift on a Sunday morning during his leadership campaign run & then calling Edmonton Police in on me despite having left me three voicemails to come in (the police have the Mandel voicemails to me in evidence so the Mandel Campaign IV Leader & now Edmonton-McClung seat cannot say that I am lying about being called in.) I was doing data entry for his campaign as a volunteer & was invited to help. And I was also invited to his campaign launch at the Boyle Street Community League by an email of his operative Ms. Serena Mah of Keill & Co. (I grant that it was a mass email sent to his accumulated data entry email list.) I truly appreciate his apology & I apologized back for any distress I may have caused him or his family & I do so here now again in this blog. I also point out that I wouldn't have done what I did in terms of meanness if Mandel Campaign IV Leader Ops staff hadn't started this & did what they did to me. Especially as I did 25 volunteer hours over 3 shifts with no incident. This is not a nice way to treat a valued volunteer. As I was doing data entry I wasn't talking to any campaign staff of Mr. Mandel's, I just went in the back office so I wasn't being a pain to anyone with my Aspergers's Syndrome or "high-functioning" autism & talking to anyone. I also point out that I worked his school board, council, mayor, & MLA runs with no incidents or problems in the past whatsoever. So it just boggles my mind to be treated how I am!

Dear Dave:

Executive Dissertations returns to Hon. Premier Rachel Notley's riding at dissolution for a second broadcast appearance & electoral fact-finding mission of Edmonton-Strathcona to gauge Ritchie residents right in their own area market about issues of interest to them. Sure families & jobs are important here (especially for seniors), but there is a much bigger contingent of folks who are talking here about the arts & funding for social initiatives. The people lining up to buy meat, coffee & other goods are very engaged here. It is not surprising of course that Rachel's & your Alberta NDP has the edge but three people sitting near me prefer the Alberta Party & another the Alberta Liberal Party & yes there are United Conservative Party backers here to.

April Xth, MMXIX

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

From the Observation Deck you notice that the most remarkable people in the voting stations, both advance polls & election day itself are the volunteers &/or observers from campaigns. From 1 hour to a full day right through the ballots being counted they are there. What is remarkable about them is that they are not being paid. So performing this volunteer service prevents them from finding paid employment. I truly applaud them all for this as I do Elections Alberta staff for running 140,000 plus people through the Advance Poll Voting Stations on Day 1 & people like myself who voted Special Ballot & those who voted by mail. Having family & friends who voted in Calgary, Red Deer, & Leduc who voted while I waited for them outside since I was not an observer or Elections Alberta employee on my drive back up to Edmonton yesterday, I can truly appreciate these remarkable persons. Of course the biggest shout out of appreciation is to the voters themselves for electing our next government!

The Second Provincial Election

April VIIth, MMXIX

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., Minister of Education, New Democratic Candidate, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

Executive Dissertations would be rather remiss if we didn't mention that Prince Edward Islanders are headed to the polls on Tuesday, April XXIIIrd, MMXIX, exactly a week after the Alberta Provincial Election results are counted. Unlike Quebec, at least Prince Edward Island (PEI) truly wants to stay a part of Confederation & is not a leech like la belle province & Islanders treat the Province Of Alberta & Albertans with respect, not like Quebec that treats us as a money pit to bleed from.

Premier & Liberal Leader Wade MacLauchlan called the election early to avoid a conflict with the Federal Election which will be called in September (or before) for the IIIrd Monday in October as per federal "fixed term" legislation. As well as to prevent a severe shortage of volunteers which their surely would be. As a former President of the University Of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), Wade wants to carry a strong educational focus into a IInd consecutive term as Premier.

Green Party Leader Peter Bevan-Barker seems to have the current lead with his environmental focus while New Democratic Leader Joe Byrne wants to "make the world a better place." Progressive Conservative Leader Dennis King notes that the election is "about the people." Which is true as its their votes that will control Island governance for the next term.

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., Minister of Education, New Democratic Candidate, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

The truly unsung heroes during writ campaign periods & all year round Monday to Friday & weekends for emergencies are the constituency office staffs. Whether that be here in Hon. Premier Rachel Notley's riding of Edmonton-Strathcona or anywhere else. Staffs as exterior offices of the Alberta Legislature run constituent concerns based on the old borders & when those borders change to adjust to the new ridings such as your newly constituted Edmonton-North West, they have to be prepared to pack up & set up new constituency office digs roughly every II elections when the borders move. These people are just such superb civil servants & they have to do with the pressure of partisans trying to talk to them, they have to remain neutral even during a writ when it is tougher with all the election signage around!

Get It Right Uncle Chuck!

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

April Vth, MMXIX

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., Minister of Education, New Democratic Candidate, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

I really am quite sickened at the journalistic style of Uncle Chuck, Charles Adler the last few nights. He in his treatment of United Conservative Leader Kenney was quite nasty & "over the top" in his questioning on LGBTQ issues & why Leader Kenney won't fire a candidate. That decision is up to Leader Kenney or if he chooses the voters of Drayton Valley-Devon. It sure as hell is not Good Time Charlie's decision Plus how can Leader Kenney fire him when the ballots are already printed? Then in the next segment he was all but kissing the posterior of Leader Notley, so biased. While LGBTQ issues are important, the left wing media especially Corus Entertainment Properties like UpChuck Adler & Ryan Jespersen shouldn't be hijacking the political agenda as mules for Global News on their shows when the economy & how to fix it is far more important.

Also, The Bride of Chuckie said in his commentary last night "the debate floor in Calgary." Look at the transcript, Edmonton is where the debate was held at CTV Edmonton Studios. How in the hell do I know, well I was in front of the building for 90 minutes of the debate holding a pro oil pipelines construction sign for Rally Canada. Must have had a thousand plus vehicles going by honking support. Even a few with Alberta NDP signs on their windows. An Editor's Note: I am not affiliated with Rally Canada, I just offered to assist them last night to give them from of CTV Edmonton Studios media coverage & nor did I receive any form of compensation so as to maintain total neutrality.

Justin Archer of Berlin Communications was his usual rather superb self in his commentary which was sent to me my audiofile. The one fault is that he mentioned that Alberta Liberal Party Leader Khan was not an MLA, so of course this was in context as Leader Khan having less experience. Mr. Archer did however forget to mention the fact that Alberta Party Leader Steve Mandel was not an MLA at the dissolution of the Alberta Legislature either. I grant that its a minor oversight, but it makes his conversational point seem like that the Bully Mandel (who threatened Alberta Liberal Party President Karen Sevcik & demanded she merge their parties) was indeed in office at dissolution of the Alberta Legislature (according to Alberta Liberal Party operative Rev. Dr. William Wade Izzard.) Mr. Archer is just so excellent in other commentaries I thought I would point it out as a technical point, not a specific criticism.

As for the debate itself I have not had a chance to see it yet so I will not make any points for or against on who won & who lost. I would point out however that the Executive Security Detail of the Alberta Sheriffs & Legislature Security was once again beyond excellent in getting Leader/Premier Notley of the Alberta New Democrats in & out of the broadcast studio. The high "broadcast quality" in which these men & women do their jobs in protecting our leaders 24/7 year after year without complaint is just absolutely incredible. Thus ensuring Rachel & her cabinet, as well as her predecessors as Premier can stay in stable & quality control of Her Majesty's Government even through the course of electoral combat!

True Kudos To All: Well Except IV Uncle Chuckles,

Rory

The Leaders Debate

April IVth, MMXIX

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., Minister of Education, New Democratic Candidate, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

The Broadcast Media Consortium is of course well within its right to choose the leaders it invites to the CTV Edmonton News Studios for tonight's debate. However, it is rather glaring that neither Leader Mandel of the Alberta Party or Leader Khan of the Alberta Liberal Party were elected MLAs at dissolution & they get invited while Leader Fildebrandt of the Freedom Conservative Party who was elected & yet is not invited. All other party leaders should be at least invited to a second debate at the exact same location with one another. This would include every party from left to right. A second debate with all the remaining party leaders held at the exact same location should be organized to be totally fair!

The Straight Debate Should Be The Focus For All On Stage To Initiate,

P.S.: Leader Mandel is being shown favoritism by CTV Edmonton News even allowing his appearance there as he used to have a relative working for the station so the entire debate is clearly rigged!

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., Minister of Education, New Democratic Candidate, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

Here in the riding of Edmonton-McClung where Alberta Party Leader Stephen Mandel is running, there is concern among residents that I am talking to here that Mr. Mandel will try & force a homeless shelter into a McClung neighbourhood should he become the next MLA. Just like he tried to when he was Mayor & told Terwillegar residents that they "had no choice but to accept a homeless shelter." Which is of course communistic in nature. Plus it was to be a shelter that allowed assorted lovely alcoholic beverages & drug use by residents (including needles.) Well Mr. Mandel was thankfully stopped. Later he was defeated as Edmonton-Whitemud MLA after 8 months when residents were reminded as to his old shenanigans. I agree with Steve's point that helping the less fortunate find a home is important, but to force it on Terwillegar, or McClung residents without any form of public dialogue is wrong! This is like how the City Of Edmonton runs the LRT Projects debate. They at least pretend to listen to residents before going ahead & planning ahead anyway. Mandel just likes to ram things down people's throats & is actively searching for a plot of land for this proposed homeless shelter even around his own Beth Israel Synagogue or by the Jamie Platz YMCA! The City Of Edmonton just wants you to fill in the Census so that they have even more money to waste once the cash from the count of citizens comes in! Gosh Stephen Mandel is an arrogant prick bastard!

Questions & Questions,

P.S.: It should be noted that in the past (according to Rev. Dr. William Wade Izzard Alberta Liberal Party Operative) Stephen Mandel directly threatened Alberta Liberal Party President Mrs. Karen Sevcik (truly a very nice lady & honourable human being) if the Alberta Liberals didn't join/merge with his Alberta Party he would cause trouble. All this after she aided him on many past campaigns. Mandel has & always will be a bully but gets away with it as he's a tax & spend progressive bureaucrat (just not of his own money.)

"A Rather Capital Analysis Watson!"

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., Minister of Education, New Democratic Candidate, Edmonton-North West

Dear Dave:

The Morinville News is once again showing itself to be a rather excellent community newspaper! They hired that very intrepid & eager cub reporter Colin Fraser Smith to do a candidate analysis of the V candidates in the Morinville-St. Albert riding. Colin's writing & editing style & prose is always superb with all of his years experience as an editor & reporter. With Colin, you get to know not just the issues when you read his analysis, you get to know the candidates as people, real persons with ideas, not just as representatives for their party's.

Outlining Differing Visions,

Rory
