Dear David:

I was just at the Edmonton Public School Board Meeting tonight. I could not believe the pitch & oration of the lovely lady who sang "Oh Canada" in her mother tongue of Cree, II promote "World Aboriginal Day." The intonation was perfect, B Sharp, 7/16 time, I would guess a Mezzo Soprano. You could just see her beam with pride.

Board Chairman Don Fleming said best whe he said he didn't mind restarting the meeting agenda backward by a few minutes if folks wanted II hear the lady do it again. I concurred. It was definitely a sight II behold! Native excellence in the arts!
