March Ist, MMXI

Hon. David G. Hancock, QC, MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Edmonton-Whitemud

Dear David:

High School & Post-Secondary law & justice students might be interested in a February XVth, MMXI letter in the Edmonton Journal by a Mr. Stanley Henderson. He proposes running a "swing shift" (as he terms it) from 3:30pm-12am or 4pm-12:30am shift for the Alberta Courts system from Monday-Friday. Mostly in the format of bench trials & motion hearings. I for one truly appreciate this idea. Maybe Alberta Justice & its new Minister, a Mr. Verlyn Olson should look into this. It would really clean up the messes on court dockets & put scum behind bars pemanently like the man who just beat a murder rap & is back in the Remand Centre XLI (41) hours later.

Sound Legal Wisdom,

Rory
