Dear David:

I was just looking at some numbers from North American hospitals on the numbers of surgery's performed on children who were running around with scissors & other sharp objects unsupervised. The amount of damage that can be done, particularly to the face (& eye areas of that face) can be staggering. Yes its important to allow kids to experiment with scissors, this is of course so they learn to use them safely. But in my mind, kids of any age still need to be watched when using them. Unless they are being watched, kids should be allowed II only use child friendly scissors. These child scissors will negate any chance of these students of the future from accidentally causing themselves bodily harm.

Snip Snip,

Rory
