I Find This Law Itself II Be An Abomination And A Show Of Disrespect To Our Veterans And Active Duty Military Personnel

November IXth, MMXII

Hon. Jeff Johnson, MLA
Minister of Education,
Progressive Conservative, Athabasca-Sturgeon-RedH2O

Dear Jeff:

Is it not a tad hypocritical, even disingenuous for the Premier II make comments that she was frustrated with the Edmonton Public School Board (EPSB) IV obeying a provincial statute? I IV one believe students should be forced to go to Rememberance Day Ceremonies, but I respect the law & a previous provincial government said that parents had the freedom of choice II pull their kids from these ceremonies.

The Hon. Alison Redford, QC, MLA, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow is a mother of a school aged daughter herself. As a result, she should not get after or state in context that she believes its a disappointment that some parents choose II remove their kids from these activities. Either she should change the law by Order-In-Council, or hold a vote in the Legislature Assembly where she instructs her PC caucus members thru Government Whip Steve Young, MLA, Progressive Conservative, Edmonton-Riverview to tell their members to strike down this law.

Fix It,

Rory
