Dear Jeff:

Presidents Of The United States are quite fascinating. As America celebrates its Thanksgiving this weekend & we prepare for the XLIVth President (& simultaneously President-Elect) Barack Hussein Obama, Democrat-Illinois to get sworn in a IInd time on January XXth, MMXIII at 12PM EST (10AM) MST, we look back at Presidents past & transitions.

We start off with the XXIXth President, Warren Gamaliel Harding, Republican-Ohio. Pres. Harding died in office in MCMXXIII. Students of both journalism & politics might be interested II note that Pres. Harding had very successful careers in both professions. He made it to the top as a newspaper publisher & as Chief Executive (President), the number one political office in the country.

A. Released a Presidential opponent who was a socialist from prison as he knew it was wrong to jail someone who had never committed a crime. Plus he wanted to ensure transparency in governance & fairness to all political opponents.

B. Made sure to preside over ther military ceremony of America's "Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier" to show ultimate respect to soldiers & their family's at Arlington National Cemetery, the main area of honour ground IV America's fallen military heroes.

C. Created financial accountability by establishing the Bureau Of The Budget. This forced Presidents to be accountable to taxpayers & the Congress for their financing by submitting yearly office budgets. Very sound financing idea indeed.

Florence Mabel Kling "Flossie" Harding,

Rory
