January XXIIIrd, MMXIII

Hon. Jeff Johnson, MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Athabasca-Sturgeon-RedH2O

Dear Jeff:

To learn about great historical pioneer schools, tour different Alberta cities & towns. The one pictured above is the Fort McMurray School, it & many other schools have a rich cultural history. My late mother, Mrs. June C. Koopmans, B. Ed. taught at old fashioned small schools in the country in the McLaughlin & Clandonald regions of Alberta. Start by encouraging history & social studies students online to take virtual tours of these great old buildings. In this way, they can get a sense where their ancestors went to school & what their educational focus was in life growing up!

The Dunce Cap,

Rory
