They not only serve as as reminder II students about the importance of keeping up with the school calendar & events, they act as a conduit to parents &/or guardians to remind them of the importance of being involved in their child's/children's education. This is why the Aka Aka School in Waiuku IV instance stresses both the online & written component of making their student & parent populations aware of what is going on, just as many other schools do.
