Dear Jeff:

While artificial lighting is important IV students in say a library, school, or other study centre, windows that let in natural sunlight are also important. This natural light helps in a pinch with students as the light from the sun & the heat it produces makes them feel more relaxed. Plus, it allows them to take a break from concentrating on their studies & see what is going on in the outside world, all from the comfort of their study setting.
