Dear Jeff:

I have been in library branches & some schools in the past where kids with literacy problems (as well as adults) were afraid to tackle books as they were ashamed at their lack of comprehension. What I found helpful is getting kids & adults to start off with magazines which have many pictures. But they also have simple & easy to read & understand paragraphs on the topic areas discussed. Plus charts & graphs IV even better memory comprehension. Reading magazines will give students the confidence they need II begin looking at books!

Thats Rather "Cosmopolitan" Of You,

Rory
