Dear Jeff:

Library staff get frustrated when people sit in their chairs too fast, or come at them at a funny angle. Thus of course throwing their weight distribution off. This is especially so in the computer area where if you sit down in the wrong way, you could bump inII another library patron. Thi might of course cause them &/or you injury. Also, you might break the chair if it gets tipped over or banged inII in too fast a motion.
