I. As a former journalist, he can bring journalistic ethics & standards to the Mayor's chair. This will inspire students who might be interested in getting into a journalism or broadcast career.

II. Candidate Diotte favours accountability for every tax dollar that is spent. Plus limiting tax increases to the rate of inflation. This will appeal to accounting & bookkeeping students & their family's.

III. Candidate Diotte favours keeping the streets safe & clean so that students & their family's can have safe access to them. This will be very interesting to students & student voters who might be interested in a career in say policing &/or security.
