Sergeant Joe Friday of the Los Angeles Police Department has just handcuffed a suspect who has killed a high school girl. The suspect's father is very stressed over his son's actions. So Sgt. Friday asks his partner for the shift (out of earshot of course) Officer Frank Smith a thought provoking question.
