Sergeant Joe Friday of the Los Angeles Police Department has just arrested a teenage boy for possessing illegal narcotics known as "sugar cubes" or "acid." He's always a stickler for proper arrest procedures and has police recruits in training with him. So as a result, he wants to make a good impression on these students of the law since they will succeed him & others as police officers themselves one day.
