A XVII (17) male high school student who does part time gardening to help his single father pay household bills has just admitted to committing an armed robbery of a convenience store. He asks the investigating officer from the Los Angeles Police Department why he is asking him so many questions. That officer is Sergeant Joe Friday & he responds in a succinct manner as he is supposed to.:

"We've got to have it all for the record: it's just routine."
