Dear Jeff:

Summer students working in restaurants & those in post-secondary schools who work in either bars or restaurants need II be aware that its not about them. Sometimes, family's with children can have an accident. Say a child has a soiled diaper or is out of control; get help from more experienced employees &/or management to help calm the situation down & make the family still feel that they are welcome & that emergencies are understandable. Put the family's first, help them, & learn from these experiences in order II become a better waiter/waitress. Not only will these incidents help you prepare as a student to handle future crisis scenarios, it will give you experience at how to be in the situation of being a parent & having some sense of discipline.

Managed,

Rory
