The Parliamentarians-Carolyn Bennett, PC, MP

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

October Ist, MMXIV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow Byelection Candidate As Unelected

Dear Gordon:

Being the son of a Dutch immigrant from the WWII era myself, I can appreciate the sacrifices that Canadian soldiers made to liberate The Netherlands & other countries in the Allied effort to stop Nazi oppression. So I can truly appreciate Carolyn Bennett, PC, MP & her earnestness speaking on the LXXth (70th) Anniversary of D-Day of her father's combat experience in the Canadian Army & how bad war is, how mindless & idiotic killing is & that we should all to strive IV peace!

"My dad landed through Juno Beach V (5) days after the initial wave, & went on to help hold the bridge at Nijmegen in Holland. Dad rarely spoke of the war, but he said he hoped that our sons-that no one's sons would have to face the horrors of war."

Number XXIX (29),

Rory
