The Parliamentarians-Marc Garneau, MP

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

November Vth, MMXIV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., MLA-Elect, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

Former armed forces electrical engineer & pilot, & astronaut, Marc Garneau, MP is a rather distinguished gentleman in the scientific & space exploration track as he was Canada's Ist (1st) man in space. Here Marc comments to student reporters on his frustrations with government cuts to Canada's Space Agency when in fact we should be "reaching out to seek new civilizations: to boldly go where no man has gone bIV!"

"I'm disappointed with where it's going. If you're losing highly qualified people who are let go, & have to go find a job elsewhere, you are actually going backwards."

Number CXVIII (118),

Rory
