Dear Gordon:

For Helene Laverdiere, MP a world food crisis for Syrian refugees with winter approaching is on the docket. She asks b/c many of the refugees are children who will starve from malnourishment if they don't freeze to death first. Helene is you might say adding "a touch of humanity" to the House Of Commons chamber.

"Mr. Speaker, yesterday, the World Food Programme suspended its aid to Syrian refugees for lack of money. The program was helping 1.7 million refugees scattered within Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Irag & Egypt, & half of those refugees are children. The suspension is comes as winter is approaching & it will have an absolutely devastating impact. What options is the government considering to ensure that this program continues to provide support to Syrian refugees?"

Number CLXVII (167),

Rory
