The Parliamentarians-Jean Rousseau, MP

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., Beverly Crest Public Library Terminal #III, Edmonton, Alberta

January XIXth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

Jean Rousseau, MP is rather concerned about the disappearance of the fiddle, a family tradition in Quebec & other places. Of course, some MPs "fiddle around" II much & don't get things accomplished but Jean wanting to preserve family traditions is great & create a National Fiddling Day makes sense.

"We would gather in the living room for a party, for example, & my uncle Gilles & aunt Rosane would dance while my grandfather played the fiddle. That was how we did things at home in Quebec."

Number CCXLVIII (248),

Rory
