The Wolverine State of Michigan & its Senator Debbie Stabenow orate on keeping The Great Lakes sustainable for not just Michigan, but for folks in general as they are a huge freshwater supply & many families with children, heck people of all ages rely on them. Deb is a Co-Chair on a task force to keep these lakes environmentally sustainable & speaks at a university symposium on them. Keeping H2O is important, especially with the drought conditions Alberta farmers & their families have been facing this year.

"The Great Lakes are part of our Michigan way of life. And they sustain our entire continent, providing 84% of North America's surface freshwater. We depend on the Great Lakes for more than just drinking water: Thousands upon thousands of jobs are linked to the Great Lakes."
