"A House Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand!"-Ms. Velazquez

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

March XIXth, MMXVI

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

In Committee we get New York Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez to explain her interest in affordable housing for students & their working families. Of special concern here in Canada what with Syrian refugees displacing Canadian citizens out of their affordable housing units as they get higher subsidies for the refugees & rents & other costs continuing to rise , its an issue all over. It is happening whether politicians admit it or not & the politicians don't seem to care!

"This decisions means that these buildings & units will remain affordable for working families. With rents throughout the city escalating, we must fight to preserve the affordable housing options that exist."

Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, U.S. Territory,

Rory
