August Vth, MMXVII
Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder
Dear Dave:
Called Pitt "The Elder" to distinguish himself from his son William Jr. who also became Prime Minister, this "Great Commoner" refused to accept a title until later in life. The Right Honourable The Viscount Earl William Pitt taught young people visiting Parliament that having too much power can have a corrupting influence.
"Unlimited power is apt to corrupt the minds of those who possess it."
IXth Prime Minister,
Rory

I suppose an ermine robe might have been just the thing for the draughty halls of power.
