Dear Dave:

I agree with the Peter C. Goldring axiom that wooden stakes are far superior to metal frames for standardized campaign signs. Goldilocks had it right on this point as wooden stakes hold better when hammered into the ground, especially in cold fall or frozen ground winter/spring conditions. Although I must also admit the metal staked signs are far easier to push into the ground.
