Dear David:

I thought in the court systems that attempted murder was XX (20) II life. Yet in the great province of Quebec, a woman is getting IV years in a Montreal jail cell IV hurting and abusing her VIII (8) children. While its terrible what he did, VI months for each child is not enough. I am sorry, but a sentence of X (10) years should have been laid out, then the mother should be put in a psychiatric facility the rest of her life. With proper cognitive function, she will be allowed II have safely controlled visits with her children. Thus ensuring no more incidents can occur.

The fathers of these kids need II step up and support them now. Quebec's Child Services Division needs to make sure their daily needs are met. There is no excuse IV beating children. I would argue that since there are VI fathers II the VIII kids, that they and their extended family's have an obligation to give these neglected and tortured kids a fresh start.

Regards,

Rory
