Hon. David G. Hancock, QC, MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Edmonton-Whitemud

Dear David:

Kids are always encouraged II write their thoughts on historical matters. So why not encourage them II write historical memoirs of their own lives at a younger age? Folks who are going IV an Alberta High School Equivalency Diploma can get up II X (10) credits IV writing their "Life Experience(s)" down on paper. Then of course submitting them to the Alberta Transcription Unit &/or directly to your cabinet office David at the Legislature.

So II keep historical data alive, lets offer kids in context of a Social Studies format written assignment in Elementary & Junior High a chance II write about their daily lives & struggles, as well as those of their family members. I bet you they would truly appreciate the chance II do this. They can edit & formulate ideas in a team format with their family & friends. Thus resulting in community learning.

History, Its About Time & Kids Time Is Important Too,

Rory
