Minister of Education,
Progressive Conservative, Edmonton-Whitemud

Dear David:

I'd like II praise your newly minted Cabinet Colleague, MLA IV Lethbridge West, the Hon. Greg Weadick who as the new Advanced Education & Technology Minister took an excellent question set in the Alberta Legislature Oral Question Period on the need IV Post-Secondary institutions in more rural areas. Yes I totally agree with Greg & the MLA IV Red Deer South, Mr. Cal Dallas about the need IV transparency & live teacher/student in class sessions at a reasonable rate in both urban settuings such as here in Edmonton & say a rural setting of say the farmland surrounding where MLA & the Hon. Ed Stelmach farms, the Premier & Member IV Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville.

Online schools are great, as I of course can totally attest. But even I must confess having II physically get out of bed & learn in a full on classroom environment has no substitute. So of course if I wanted II learn about agricultural sustainability, or say the environment for instance: of course a rural Post-Secondary would be more appropriate IV me or any other prospective student.

The Urban/Rural Divide,

Rory
