Dear David:

A big key to keeping students safe, in Edmonton High Schools in particular is the School Resource Police Officer. Students should meet & establish a positive role with the officer in charge of safety so that they feel comfortable. Plus with a friendly repartee or banter with that officer, they can build a relationship of trust so that when they see students or adults committing crimes, they can go to the officer IV help & a safer/more timely solution II the matter.
