Dear Jeff:

Badminton is quite a fun game for student athletes of all ages to learn. Participants not only have to move fast, they also have to hit or move a non-cylindrical object such as a golf ball, basketball, or tennis ball. As a result, its much harder to move around on the court b/c the object or "shuttlecock" must be hit so as to make it difficult for your opponent(s) to reach & yet at the same time, you as a player(s) must be able anticipate where your opponent(s) is/are going II return it. You have to (just as in tennis) have to be prepared for anything. This is why its such a great workout sport & why in this country Badminton Canada is leading the charge IV getting players II be as competitive as possible & that they are constantly learning new skills II improve their game.

A Different Style Of Racket,

Rory
