Open Book Tests

Dear Dave:

While open book tests can be helpful, I find that except for a single page approved "cheat sheet" which many schools allow), that its actually better to write exams strictly from memory. Sure you always forget a percentage of what you have learned even right after you lead the classroom. But studying it for a test setting or other such exam lets you relearn the material at your own pace again when studying. As a backup of course to your initial instruction.
