Dear David:

What a great initiative by Miss Sue Mah & past and present Rio Terrace Elementary students to unearth a time capsule buried in 1980 (MCMLXXX.) As I have said beIV in entries, we can't learn about the future without first exploring the past. How great it must have been for Dr. Dave Hoshizaki who is a dad now to show his daughters (also Rio Terrace students & my mom June, a former teacher there) the capsule & artifacts he had a hand in burying.

Let us hope he next retrieval ceremony at the school in 2030 (MMXXX) is just as successful!
