Mr. Biden of Delaware (though born in Pennsylvania) could take a few hints from Peg!

Dear Adriana:

Here in Edmonton-Wetaskiwin, you will note some of the most unsung heroes in election writs at all levels, & during non-writ periods are members of local law enforcement such as Her Majesty's Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP.) They are constantly picked apart on for their faults, but you never see them really praised for keeping our politicians safe & assessing security threats, not just anticipated advance ones: but also ones on the ground where they have to ensure the safety of our leaders. The most recent example being Mr. Trudeau, Leader of the Liberal Party Of Canada. Whilst there are zero Members Of Parliament (MPs) now, Mr. Trudeau still is Prime Minister & it is of paramount importance that we keep him & members of Her Majesty's Liberal Cabinet & Government safe because command & control decisions still need to be made by these leaders whilst they campaign to keep the nation's affairs going.

It's also true to keep Mr. O'Toole the Conservative Party Of Canada Leader & Leader Of Her Majesty's Loyal Official Conservative Opposition safe. As well as other party leaders/candidates. This is in case one of them wins the election & is asked by Her Majesty or Her Excellency The Right Honourable The Governor-General Mary Simon, CC, CMM, COM, OQ, CD, PC to form the new government. Yes indeed law enforcement at all levels deserves a lot of credit for keeping these public officials safe, especially these pandemic election times.

Sitting here in Sturgeon River-Parkland, I agree with the discussion on "Provincewide With Shaye Ganam" this morning that political science students should take note that "strategic voting" does indeed go on in every single writ at every single level of office. I myself got 3,009 votes in MM (2000) in the Federal Election Writ in Edmonton-West running as a Progressive Conservative when it and the Canadian Alliance constituted two separate parties. At the time I was XXIV (24) & turned XXV (25) during that writ. I had honestly never considered running to stop a certain person or persons from winning. I was just running on the nostalgia of it being "the party of Sir John A. Macdonald." I was just running for fun & to try a different experience, I wound up getting enough votes so Liberal Candidate & then Justice Minister Hon. A. Anne McLellan, PC won another term by just 732 votes. Some folks undoubtedly voted for me to split the vote one way or another. Its truly one of the greatest mistakes I ever made in my life having been a candidate for any office at any level & I regret it more & more with each passing year. But at least Mrs. Betty Unger the losing Canadian Alliance Candidate wound up being a great Conservative elected Senator & I was very honoured to cast a ballot for her! I like following & commentating & volunteering at events. Even being a paid election worker at all levels, I don't mind that at all. But being a candidate is just isn't for me. Kind of odd I know when you consider I have Aspberer's Syndrome or "high-functioning" autism & thus I talk & yes run on a lot more than the average person which is what candidates to win and maintain political office. I don't even mind admitting that sometimes (yes its possible) I even annoy myself, haha!

It makes great sense for The Right Honourable Gentleman for Uxbridge & South Ruislip, & Conservative Party Prime Minister Of The United Kingdom Boris Johnson, PC, MP to call an emergency summit of the G7 on the Afghan refugee situation as it relates to the rather hurried exit, especially as US President Joe Biden, Democratic-Delaware is cutting & running despite the fact he was a co-sponsor of the US Senate Bill to invade/occupy the Afghan Theatre in the Ist place. Boris can understand the situation from all sides of the Atlantic Ocean since he was born in New York City, New York, USA. It also makes sense for Liberal Party Leader & Papineau Candidate & Prime Minister Of The Dominion Of Canada The Right Honourable, Justin Trudeau, PC to attend this meeting. Or, better yet, send in one or a combination of any & all of our former Canadian Prime Ministers to do the job & report back to Her Majesty's Government. Since the federal election writ has dropped, then all Canadian opposition leaders should also be given the exact same information as Mr. Trudeau. So for students of the political game who want to see fairness this of course would include The Honourable Erin O'Toole, PC, Leader Of Her Majesty's Loyal Official Opposition & Conservative Party Candidate for Durham. As well as Jagmeet Singh, Leader Of Her Majesty's New Democratic Party Opposition & Candidate for Burnaby-South & the rest to attend. The Bloc Quebecois & Green Leaders as well since they had MPs at the dissolution of The House Of Commons nine days ago. This would certainly be very Prime Ministerial & showcase transparency.

There are of course many ways to vote & the brilliant management & staff at Elections Canada are most valuable in assisting voters in how to do so. It works out for me this year to vote by mail, so I have just applied online to have a mail in ballot sent to my home, plus its postage free to mail back like municipal mail in ballots which is convenient as I have a Canada Post mailbox right in front of my apartment building. This is of course the same process as voting by Special Ballot where you handprint the candidate's name of your choice rather than marking an "X" by a name from a list of names (generally done at the Elections Returning Office in your riding. I myself live in Edmonton-Centre as an example.) Such as on the Advance Poll & Election Day Ballots. There are also hospital polls, & rules at polls to allow voters to have trusted friends or aides fill in their proper choice of candidate at polling stations. Of course you must mail the ballot back so that's its received by Elections Canada on or before September XIVth, MMXXI (14th, 2021) at VI (6) PM Eastern Daylight Time/(IV (4) PM Mountain Daylight Time!

The only "problem" Timmy has now (as he savours victory in the XLIst (41st) Nova Scotian General Election Writ) is deciding which of his fellow Tory MLA-Elect's will join him in cabinet when Nova Scotia's Lieutenant-Governor The Honourable Arthur Joseph LeBlanc, ONS, OC asks Timbo to form Her Majesty's next Nova Scotian Government when the Premier-Designate drops in for a visit at Government House in Halifax.

As for The Honourable Premier Iain Rankin, the Nova Scotia Liberal Leader, & newly re-elected MLA-Elect for Timberlea-Prospect, his "problem" of course was that he was conducting too many concerts as part of "The Rankin Family" rather than focusing on his duties in The Office Of The Premier. Its a great opportunity for Laila Goodridge to "move up" & become a Federal MP & it not only showcases her ambitions, it shows she is a woman of class for stepping in since retiring former Fort McMurray-Cold Lake Conservative Candidate David Yurdiga is resigning for medical reasons. I thank David for his service & wish him & his family all the very best.

Its also an opportunity for former Wildrose Leader/MP/MLA Brian Jean to come back as his successor's successor. Brian having been the MLA for what was then constituted as Fort-McMurray-Conklin of course resigned to create the byelection scenario to allow Laila to take over when he lost the United Conservative Leadership vote to Hon. Jason Thomas Lukaszuk Kenney, PC, MLA, United Conservative, Calgary-Lougheed.

In the newly minted riding of Fort-McMurray-Lac La Biche byelection scenario, Brian can take over & sow caucus dissent, hatred, division, as well as derision from inside the UCP caucus tent. He'd have a stepping stone to perhaps seizing the UCP Leadership & Premiership away from Jason Thomas. Thus garnering a coalition again & united forces behind him for the MMXXIII Alberta Provincial Election Writ & perhaps preventing Rachel Anne Notley, MLA, New Democratic, Edmonton-Strathcona from taking over once again as XVIIth (17th) Premier, not XIXth (19th) such as in the American split count for President Grover Cleveland, Democratic-New York who was XXIInd (22nd) & XXIVth (24th) U.S. President. Rachel Anne would become 17-2 for a new term with our parliamentary counting system.
