Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

June XXXth, MMXVIII

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

For three-quarters of a century & on what would have been her 75th birthday today, Mrs. June C. Koopmans, B. Ed., Classics Illustrated Comics superfan (with my Grandpa Archie) has been our guide, our protector, & our friend! Today marks mom's last birthday appearance for Executive Dissertations. As much as I want to keep having her show off her Afton Elementary School Grade II (2) lesson plans, it is time to let her spirit rest & know that with tea & birthday cake in her memory today that she did one hell of a great job with her time on Earth. Although limited to 68 years, the point is she was here, fighting for students rights to the end!

PLANS

Wednesday, March 1st, 1972:

Gym: Walking, running, sprinting.
Reading: bbd ex on roots, vowels, "oo", "can't."
(have students tell stories of airplane & bus trips using vowels as the main emphasis.)
           ------
Arithmetic: text P. 134.
Spelling: #23C.
Storytime: Students acting out stories with vowels in groups.

Lunch: Take an injured student from Grade 3 to school nurse before heading to teachers lounge for lunch as his teacher had a family emergency & had to leave school property.

Printing: "Ff", "Gg", "Hh","Ii","Jj."
Language Arts: Add consonants & vowels learned together so as to help students memory recall for trip stories.
           ------
Enterprise: Students suggest making cardboard & paper cutouts of themselves on their trips. Great as it gets their visual memory cognition going in full gear!

Read It Then Lived It!

June XXIIIrd, MMXVIII

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

This book "MacArthur's Undercover War" is quite brilliant. It shows students of military history & military historians how gathering intelligence & research was just as important in winning battles for U. S. Army General MacArthur & the Allies in the Pacific Rim & Asian theatres of battle.

Well Done & Well Organized,

Rory

Tim Horton Was A Great Hockey Player!

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., 170 Street & 111 Avenue Tim Hortons Courtesy Wifi, Edmonton, Alberta

June XVIth, MMXVIII

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

Here at this Tim Hortons where I used to work, a few of the staff cleaning up the garbage & recycling area have expressed frustration that customers are tossing garbage in the recycling & vice versa. Thus preventing the recycling from being recycled. Students who visit Timmy's with their family members that if they want to reduce their environmental impact, they should properly separate items. Franchise locations use the bottle/can/container monies to pay for wages, upkeep, as well as supplies so people doing this volunteer separation helps keep restaurant costs down, many of which are struggling due to shitty Alberta NDP minimum wage laws & other unnecessary bureaucratic constraints!

Dear Dave:

Why study English or any language you may ask? I have relatives & friends who speak Dutch, English, Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin), Japanese, French, German, Italian & other languages. I have mechanical cognition difficulties so I am not able to learn & comprehend other languages. So I appreciates these multilingual people who are lifelong linguistic learning students!

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

Here at the Premier's home library branch at Strathcona EPL there is the nice ambience of the modern paint job but mixed in with many of the older wooden fixtures. A nice architectural blend of the old & new for Rachel, her good husband Lou Arab-Notley, her kids & students/library users of all kinds!

Reform The Prison Systems

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

June IInd, MMXVIII

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

I actually applaud Mrs. Kim Kardashian-West for going to see the XLVth Chief Executive to discuss prison reform. Arguably, many non-violent offenders (including students who commit crimes) can be valuable contributors to society once they are retrained & thus returned to society. So it was kind of Kim to see Pres. Donny Trump, the Republican of New York to provide a personal perspective!

Rory
