From One Joe II Another

Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin.
Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April XXXth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed.
Minister of Education,
Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

I was touched at the reach out by the St. Joseph's Catholic High School on CIXth (109th) Street last Friday to me & the other candidates in Edmonton-Centre. I, as a Protestant appreciate this Catholic school of excellent character inviting me to attend the event & hand out election literature to the students, who are without a doubt the voters of the future! From St. Joseph's Basilica, all the way to the school & many Catholic voters, Catholicism has a rich history in Edmonton-Centre & thoughout Alberta of providing us many great public servants. For instance, the Right Hon. Charles Joseph Clark, PC, former Prime Minister Of Canada is Catholic & from Alberta. Catholic Social Services on down & many Catholic charities work in tandem to make life better for those less fortunate in the riding & I appreciate these efforts greatly. I also feel encouraged that the auditorium was packed with Social Studies students, both straight & LGBTQ Catholic students, as well as students not of the Catholic faith who attend St. Joe's! And to think it was the students themselves who organized this political gathering, they should be very proud!

April XXXth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education,
Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

I for one would like the professional & courteous staff & management of The Royal Glenora Club for allowing myself & other candidates in Edmonton-Centre the ability to place election materials on the car windshields of their main lot. The security gent for the lot was especially helpful in picking up papers that had blown out of my hand before I could place them on the windshields. The Royal Glenora Club truly believes in democracy in action for all candidates!

Skate On,

Gubernatorial-Kansas

Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin.,
Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April XXIXth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

For the State of Kansas (birth State of the great Bob Dole) & its Governor Sam Brownback, a few words on making sure that students just starting out in Kindergarten have as strong a start as possible in life so that they can flourish in the Kansan educational system. I mention this b/c there is a constant fight over proper full day as opposed to just half day Kindergarten funding & many Alberta parents (of both straight & LGBTQ families), including those with youngsters in Edmonton-Centre of Kindergarten age at constantly having to fight the provincial government every step of the way. While the school boards have to fight the province in intergovernmental meetings over this this same issue since time immemorial!

"Promote safe, stable, & nurturing relationships to ensure children have strong healthy starts."

Jimmy Prentice Believe It Or Not Was Also a Coal Miner's Daughter!

Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin., Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April XXVIIIth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

Your Progressive Conservative Candidate in Calgary-Foothills, a guy named the Hon. Jim Prentice, BA, LLB, QC, PC, Premier wants students interested in the trades to know that he is sorry for being such a "snooty bastard" & "arrogant prick" towards the New Democratic Party Candidate in Edmonton-Strathcona, a Mrs. Rachel Notley-Arab, BA, LLB. Jim chalks it all up to the coal dust that got into his lungs on his campaign visit to his former employer. As well as his years of labour in that industry that caused chemicals & toxins to leech into his circulatory & breathing systems causing occasional lapses of oxygen in the brain!

A Turd Size Lump Of Coal Is What Jim Gave Us With This Unneeded Election Writ,

Parking Lot Safety

Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin., Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April XXVIIth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

As I was headed into a Chinese restaurant yesterday for an afternoon tea with community group leaders of Edmonton's Asian business & community, I noticed the appalling condition of some the surrounding parking lots, as well as the poor quality of lighting. Much of Edmonton-Centre includes parking lots b/c of the high rise apartment structures & business towers. As the next MLA for the area, I would like to see these groups get together with me at the Legislature Bvilding & in other locations to pool money & resources together to keep these asphalt & concrete structures in optimum condition. As well as update the lighting & other electrical components of the lots (such as wiring) so that the average citizen can feel safe & secure, both in walking & in parking in these lots at night! Student & other tour groups coming to the legislature must be sure that the asphalt they walk over is excellent shape so they don't get injured!

Saying Goodbye But Not Farewell

Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin. Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April XXVIth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

I must say its great that your Progressive Conservative Candidate in Calgary-Acadia, Mr. Jonathan Denis, QC is taking time to reflect out on his life & deal with his family first. By resigning as Minister of Justice & Attorney General, Jonathan is making sure that his marriage & his family are first & foremost while still staying as a candidate & wanting to contribute as a backbench MLA. Lets hope things work out for the best for Jon & his bride!

A Truly Nice Sunday Story,

The Saturday Presidential Buzz-William Jefferson Clinton

Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin., Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April XXVth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

Its my belief system that the adoption process should be sped up so that loving LGBTQ family's who are looking to adopt should be able to do so. In this way, less foster kids will die on my on my watch as an MLA as compared to the appalling number under the watch of successive PC governments.

Born with the name William Jefferson Blythe, President Bill Clinton was adopted by his stepdad just as XXXVIIIth President Gerald R. Ford, Republican-Michigan was adopted. The President's dad died before he was born so he was raised by many strong women. In that fashion when families cannot procreate, & yet have ruled out adoption, the Prez encourages them to adopt & build a family in that way to give youngsters a good home.

"Adoption is a commonsense solution that places children in permanent homes with parents who will offer them love & security. National Adoption Month is a time for all Americans to reflect on the rewards of joining children who need families with adults who seek the responsibilities & joys of parenthood."

The Student Sayings Of Joe Friday On Fridays From Los Angeles, California Case Ninety-Two

Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin., Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April XXIVth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

On temporary loan from the Los Angeles Police Department Narcotics Division to the Edmonton Police Service Drug Enforcement Detail are Sergeant Joe Friday & Officer Bill Gannon. In a media press conference room the Sarge explains that he is having trouble with street drugs & youth gangsters selling them in schools. While crystal meth seems to be more prevalent here, other drugs are destroying the streets of Los Angeles so that school kids cannot even be safe at school anymore with dealers selling to young & impressionable high school & even younger kids so that they think drug buying & selling is "cool." School of course being a place where kids should learn & play. As the next MLA for Edmonton-Centre, I would want to work in tandem with the officers of the Edmonton Police Service to improve drug laws & such. This makes sense as the EPS main headquarters are located within the boundaries of Edmonton-Centre. Plus, with the new traffic congestion & other things going on with the new arena being downtown, crime will only increase. Thus increasing the chance for drug dealers to sell to students in the area!

"If he gets this pure heroin out to the neighborhood teenagers; it could result in many deaths."

A Tale Of Two James's

Premier James Prentice
Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin., Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April XXIIIrd, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

Premier James Prentice:

A. Took one "look in the mirror" & decided to back off on giving the Office of the Child Advocate its funding increase to prevent more foster kids deaths (funding just awarded days earlier.) More of which have occurred under Progressive Conservative administrations than any other Alberta political party.

B. Took one "look in the mirror" & decided that the Hon. Stephen Mandel, A. Arts. B. Sci., M. Poli. Sci., Minister of Health, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Edmonton-Whitemud would be better with a half past dead at 69 year old man as Health Minister & as an MLA than a widely respected Interim Premier Dave Hancock (who was liked for his Childrens First policy by all sides) & is only 59. Tell me that Steve hasn't been a even more of a dud as an MLA than he was in his last term as Mayor.

C. Took one "look in the mirror" & decided to backpedal on his cut to the charitable tax credit. Wouldn't have this been smarter before sending your policy platform to the printer's Jim?

Captain James Kirk

Captain James Kirk:

D. Took "one look in the mirror" & realized that to save the Enterprise (TM) from certain dangers he had to play the game in "Mirror, Mirror" to make sure none of his friends as well as officers came to harm.

E. Took "one look in the mirror" & set up a safe place for alcohol abusing women in honour of his late wife Nerine who died of alcohol abuse. A charity which has gotten many women with substance abuse problems off these substances & out of danger to once again live normal lives.

F. Took "one look in the mirror" & went to a Floridian Red Cross fundraising & blood drive initiative rather than attend his best friend & former First Officer Mister Spock's funeral. Faced down ridiculous criticisms for not attending the funeral. Well what was was Captain James supposed to do? Spock's Vulcan/Human green blood had stopped flowing. He'd want the Captain to help the living get proper blood. "Live long & prosper!"

Of These Two James's: Give Me The Latter Rather Than The Former Any Day,

Suffering Suzuki Style

Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin., Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April XXIInd, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

As Minister Of The Environment under the Right Hon. Stephen J. Harper, BA, MA, PC, MP, Prime Minister Of Canada, Conservative, Calgary-Southwest, our current Premier & PC Leader, the Hon. Jim Prentice, QC, PC, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Foothills has a lot to answer for!

I. Clearly in this photograph, Dr. David Suzuki is taking a swing at then Minister Prentice to tell him to "shut up" & respect that he, Dr. Suzuki is the only person their camping trip with any opinion of real value! Which clearly by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) renewing his crappy show "The Nature Of Things" is 100% true!

II. Why Minister Prentice would go on a camping trip with an environmentalist who spend many days and nights on the road a year wasting diesel gas from his buses. As well as regular gas when he is driven around & jet engine fuel when he is flying is beyond me. David Suzuki wastes more in fuel costs traveling than even that other big environmental liar, Former U.S. Vice-President Al Gore, Democratic-Tennessee.

III. Why Leader Prentice says his record of working with First Nations as Minister Of The Environment is good is frustrating to me! Environmental & health standards on many reserves were terrible the day he left office as Minister & have been allowed to deteriorate even further.

Yes Jim & Dave: Environmentalists In Name Only,

"Will The Senator Yield The Floor?"-Tim Kaine

Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin., Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April XXIst, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

The Commonwealth State of Virginia gets a second go around today with Senator Tim Kaine. Tim talks about the fact that financial barriers shouldn't be a cost to get a quality education for students. Once educated, they'll be taxpaying Virginians. The reason the Senator's comments are so relevant in an Alberta election is because parents/guardians face a tremendous burden what with the high school fees charged here. Thus proving what a joke the concept of a "free education" here in Alberta for many students is with all of the fees & offloading of heavy financial burdens that "Team Prentice" in tandem with you & several of your predecessors are placing on families while still pretending we have a "competitive" tax system here in Alberta. I would clearly pay less under the Alberta New Democratic Party or the Wildrose, even the Alberta Liberals.

"I understand the importance of a quality higher education at an affordable cost."

Mother Of States,

Rory

Jim Prentice, QC, PC, Premier, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Foothills. Yes, bring back Premier Redford!

He tells Brother Robert James "Bobby" Ewing & Brother Raymond "Ray" Krebbs Ewing about what tactics a candidate or party has to resort to in order to win & hopefully the "right" candidates will win to drum up business for Ewing Oil.

The Saturday Presidential Buzz-George Herbert Walker Bush

Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin., Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April XVIIIth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

One of the hardest things for Premiers & Prime Ministers & opposition leaders have to do is to send in police &/or armed forces units into a crisis situation. Examples would include when Premier Redford had to send in emergency personnel into the flood zones of southern Alberta or when Premier Stelmach had to send in firefighters & rescue folks during the Slave Lake fire. The stress is in not knowing if these emergency responders will ever come back alive. Example given: the IV (4) Mayerthorpe RCMP officers killed in trying to take down a violent offender.

A common theme here at The Saturday Presidential Buzz comments at Executive Dissertations is just how hard it is as the Chief Executive or Military Commander-In-Chief is having to send young men & women into war to die during your tenure as President, or leader of any nation. A former United States Navy Flight Officer during WWII, President George H. Bush knows its hard but like other Presidents but that at times its required & yet at the same time knows that young folks sent inII combat who died won't have a have to start up family's of their own or see their own family's grow up. The President expresses this sadness in a rather eloquent speech to armed forces personnel.

"To all who mourn a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a friend-I can only offer you the gratitude of a nation, for your loved one served his country with distinction & honor."

The Friendly Competition-Candidate Keating

Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin, Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April XVIIth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

I didn't get knowledge of my fellow Independent (Catholic) Candidate Greg Keating & his candidacy in Edmonton-Centre until I had already typed up my & Candidate Shepherd's bios. Nevertheless in an "actual political combat" situation, it is imperative that I do bios on all the candidates in the race. This is to respect The McLaughlin Group & its "equal time" for all sides rule. I must say I am enjoying reading about Greg & his fascinating Catholic perspective. It shows he is proud of his religious faith & doctrine, & by gosh he should be.

XVII. I myself have no opinion on abortion. I do not know enough about the issue & would like to consult with doctors, other health professionals, & women who are pregnant themselves (as well as those who have had babies &/or abortions) before I make any judgments on the matter. However, I truly admire Greg & his argument against abortion & his right to express his opinion on being "pro-life" in nature.

XVIII. Greg has lived up North & in every region of this great country we call The Dominion Of Canada, so as a result, this gives him a rich sense of the history of the country.

XIX. Greg grew up in a huge family of X (10) kids & so this family bond led him to his pro-life stance & the need to "create", rather than "destroy" life.

XX.Greg got into the transport industry XV (15) years ago & went to he University Of Western Ontario & St. Francis Xavier University where he got both Bachelor of Science & Bachelor of Education degrees.

The Student Sayings Of Joe Friday On Fridays From Los Angeles, California Case Ninety-One

Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin., Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April XVIIth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

For Detective Joe Friday of the Los Angles Police Department, another look into school safety. Students or educators on campus or in a school setting need to stay calm & relaxed after say being robbed in order that they open up to police & start thinking more clearly. So on a case where thieves have cause injuries in a school, Joe opens up about the need for this "calming effect" to take place quickly. Give the victims something to do like watch a film, or read a magazine to distract them from their stress. This is the same thing politicians need to do in a crisis. For instance when Premier Ralph Klein was faced with a deficit crisis he acted by holding up a sign to calm Albertans fears that read "paid in full."

"That's good. People need to be entertained, need the distraction."

Dear Gordon:

Trying to "shepherd" in new ideas is Alberta New Democratic Party Candidate for Edmonton-Centre David Shepherd.

XIII. Has worked at all three levels of government as an honourable employee of the civil service with a distinguished record.

XIV. Dave has helped the public understand government policy & services. In this way, they can make the lives of their families better with the valuable information given to them.

XV. Dave is an active supporter of arts & culture in Edmonton. By gosh that is excellent! I mean our city would be a lot worse off if we didn't haven't talented artisans & student artisans (the artists of the future in it!)

XVI. Holds a Certificate in Music from Grant MacEwan University's (nee College) Program as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communications from Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia. From what I have researched online, an amazing learning facility!

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

I'd be remiss if I didn't tag on the candidates in order alphabetically, meaning I'm next. That's right, Rory Joe Koopmans, the Independent Candidate for Edmonton-Centre.

IX. Political science students will note that after this election is over, I will have run for every single level of office: federal, civic, school board, & now provincial. Sort of a weird accomplishment a political junkie or nerd might want, which is why I've always wanted to have that record.

X. I am running to be a voice for the victims of stroke & heart issues as my late mother, Mrs. June C. Koopmans, B. Ed. died of one.

XI. I want to be independent in status so that I can caucus with any party I need to on certain issues & thus guarantee my voice will be heard in debate & that my vote in the chamber will be truly important for getting things done for the residents of Edmonton-Centre.

XII. I hold a Bachelor of Administration Degree from Athabasca University MCMXCIX (1999), Management Concentration. I am also the first person in Alberta history to get a second High School Diploma from a second Education Minister after obtaining a second C (100) High School credits. I now have CCCXXXVII (337) High School credits & got the second Diploma after my Degree. I did this all as a springboard for running as a Public School Trustee candidate & to encourage kids to stay in school!

The Saturday Presidential Buzz-Ronald Wilson Reagan

Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin., Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April XIth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

Part of the concept of running in elections & serving in office is the need to make remarks at the right time that will help move along a leader or a party's agenda. This is true whether you are the Premier or an Opposition Leader, or just a regular MLA or politician of any level of governance. An actor by trade, President Ron Reagan knew at the The Brandenburg Gate portion of The Berlin Wall he'd have to put on one hell of a performance to his audience consisting of Soviet Chairman Mikhail S. Gorbachev, Communist, Privolnoye, North Caucasus Krai & the East German commie pinko regime to bring down the wall that tore students & their families apart in Berlin apart for XXVIII (28) years. He was successful as the wall fell under the watch of his successor XLIst President George H.W. Bush, Republican-Texas a scant II.V (2.5) years after Pres. Reagan retired as Commander-In-Chief. So yes just as his gorgeous bride Nancy thought her beloved "Ronnie" was up to the task, "The Gipper" proved she was absolutely right!

"Mister Gorbachev: tear down this wall!"

The Student Sayings Of Joe Friday On Fridays From Los Angeles, California Case Ninety

Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin., Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April Xth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

As I work guard & bouncer work, I am very interested in the security/safety of students & other folks coming into the Alberta Legislative Assembly via school groups, as well as the safety of Albertans in general wanting to keep their democratic government functioning. If I become the next MLA for Edmonton-Centre I will want to work with the security detail at the legislature very closely as it is located in the riding itself, as are many other government bvildings.

On the concept of the safety of civil servants, citizens, & governing officials in buildings all over the place, Sergeant Joe Friday of the Los Angeles Police Department explains to younsters thinking of starting a riot & attack on the Los Angeles City Hall where governing leaders work why he wants folks to work within the system so democracy won't fail & the police can do their absolute best to keep people safe & law & order perfect balance in his city. This concept can apply to security matters anywhere.

The Candidate

Rory Joe Koopmans, B. Admin., Independent Candidate, Edmonton-Centre

April IXth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

For my first policy if elected as the next MLA for Edmonton-Centre, I would place $1,000.00 a month from my MLA salary into a contingency fund towards ensuring administrative costs for implementing Gay/Straight Alliances (GSAs) in schools were lessened for these facilities.

I would have the funds automatically deducted from my cheque each month and given back to the Ministry of Finance & the Provincial Treasury before I was even paid & as such, would receive no charitable tax receipt or derive any benefit whatsoever from them. In this way, I as the Edmonton-Centre MLA would be sure to avoid a repeat of the Filipino Wonder Child, ex-MLA Carl Benito & his phony scholarship situation.

These LGBTQ community students and their families must be made to feel safe immediately and I would invite any other successful MLA-Elects to join me in this endeavour so that the pot of money for these fine kids can grow quickly and build up a nice bundle of interest.

Thank You Very Much Indeed,

Rory

The Launch

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

April VIIIth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

Now on your second run of blog posts while being a cabinet minister while not being an MLA, I sure hope you enjoy the campaign. A few election etiquette pointers on yesterday's Edmonton launch:

I. I was invited to the event via PC Alberta email, I RSVP'd that I would attend, I got an actual party response: "looking forward to seeing you there Rory!"

II. I worked some data entry for The Jim Prentice Campaign for Leader, I also gave his campaign a financial donation. As a result, I have absolutely nothing against Premier Prentice or the party. If PC Alberta didn't want me at the event, then they shouldn't have invited me in the first place!

III. Darcy Henton of The Calgary Herald & the Former President Jim McCormick are right. The PC Alberta Party as its constituted now are made up of left-wing bigots and artsy, fartsy types like Chris Labossiere, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Edmonton-Rutherford (& a former member of The Alberta Hospital Party& many people from left wing fronts likes Calder Bateman & H&K Strategies who favour taxing & spending us to death, who are absolutely intolerant of any opposing viewpoints & are against the poor & disadvantaged in favour of their own kind (which is why the budget has so many more taxes rather than cuts.)

IV. I got outside at 9:17am, as I was told the hall would be open at 9:30am & yet the campaign staff for Leader Prentice actually stopped to let media & other party members in ahead of me. Remember, I was an invited guest, not media, not a troublemaker in any way, shape, or format. I came to see my leader.

V. Political science students take note that when I lined up behind others in line, I was actually blockaded from entering after being given permission to enter. Then one of the staffers shoved me back out the door. Still another shoved me inside on my right shoulder after a secretary from the Prentice Leadership Campaign told me "Rory, you are more than welcome to come inside!"

VI. You get Gordie that I was INVITED to the event right? Readers of Executive Dissertations need to realize that I made no threats to wreck the meeting or raise a stink, I came to hear my leader, the Hon. Jim Prentice, BA, LLB, QC, PC, Premier, Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Foothills speak! I mean what in the hell was I doing wrong? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

VII. As a person who volunteered to do data entry on the Prentice Leadership bid (& who called back thrice altogether) I shouldn't be blockaded from entering a campaign launch! Hell no boy, no god damn way! In fact, I belong there more than many of these "next gen" PC Alberta members who have no respect for the history of the party!

Curious,

Rory

Dear Gordon:

With the provincial election writ about to be dropped to see who will be our next Her Majesty's Government, perhaps it appropriate for us to hear from Governor Terry Branstad of Iowa, a man who knows how to hold power & is currently the IInd longest serving Governor in U.S. history on his VIth term. Terry comments on the importance of students knowing about mathematics & finances in order so that they can properly save up & look after their own & any family members needs & be productive Iowans.

"We know our children need to be financially literate in order to have a bright future. We also know that financial literacy is critical for our state's economic future. Many Iowans, including educators, financial services experts, & elected officials have expressed concerns about the status of financial literacy in Iowa."

Dear Gordon:

We have Senator Mark Warner of The Old Dominion State of Virginia talking about protecting the identities of military service members & their families from whack hole Islamic threats from ISIS & other groups. He shows it in a letter to the XXVth U.S. Secretary Of Defense Ashton Carter, Democratic-Pennsylvania

"You have my support in assembling whatever resources are required to help their families this frightening & dangerous situation & mitigate the threat."

Dear Gordon;

Facts on Easter:

1. Canadians spend about $190 million on Easter Candy each year, the IInd biggest candy holiday next to All Hallow's Eve (talk about your sweet tooth.)

2. Easter occurs on a Sunday after the XL (40) day period of fasting called Lent.

3. The White House Easter Egg Roll on the lawn has been conducted without fail since its inception in MDCCCLXXVIII (1878) under XIXth President Of The United States Of America Rutherford Birchard Hayes, Republican-Ohio.

Dear Gordon:

Founder of The United States Department of Education, President Jimmy Carter (a naval officer & peanut farmer by trade) was definitely big on supporting education. What with all of this talk of terrorist groups & extremists, its good to hear from Pres. Carter as he won the Nobel Peace Prize post-presidency & had some idea as to how we should all be living at peace, no matter what religious set of beliefs we have.

"We become not a melting pot but a beautiful mosaic. Different people, different beliefs, different hopes, different dreams. Whether the borders that divide us are picket fences or national boundaries, we are all neighbors in a global community."

The Student Sayings Of Joe Friday On Fridays From Los Angeles, California Case Eighty-Nine

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

April IIIrd, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

With the Gubernatorial Executive Order by Governor Jerry Brown, Democratic-California a couple of days back restricting water usage in the state back by XXV% (25%), it gives another good reason for students & other people use illicit drugs to cut back or quit b/c they will not have as much water to hydrate with as before. Also, drug dealers who live in more expensive surroundings use a greater volume of water to grow their plant based drugs & clean their drug making equipment, so hopefully maybe less drugs will be available since they'll be able to clean the equipmess less & thus less people will die. This would truly make it a "Good Friday" on Good Friday. Detective Joe Friday of the Los Angeles Police Department Narcotics Division reminds students that buying from more expensive drug dealers doesn't mean they are getting better quality drugs. They can die from an expensive overdose just as easily as a cheap one.

"Expensive surroundings justify higher prices."

"Will The Senator Yield The Floor?"-Kelly Ayotte

April IInd, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

For The White Mountain State of New Hampshire & Senator Kelly Ayotte, a comment on making sure that working family's have flexible working options & hours so they can be their to support their children in family activities while at the same time earning a respectable living with which to support those very same children. As the Senator is a "working mom" of two children herself this is very apropos. Both private & public sector workers, everyone should be treated the same.

"Working families in the private sector should have the same options to enter into the kind of flexible work arrangements that are currently available to public sector workers."

Dear Gordon:

I must confess that I agree with the Social Studies students I have been tutoring that the timing of calling an election at any level is very difficult. Phony polls by The Edmonton Urinal (Journal) not withstanding showing the Wildrose Party in a dead heat with your party. I mean that so called "newspaper" (rag) predicted Wildrose victories in MMVIII & MMXII & Premiers Stelmach & Redford crushed all opposition.

It should be noted here & now that I have been crafting the victory speech for Premier-Designate & XVIIth (17th) Premier to be of Alberta Greg Clark for two months. I have been getting students to help me because I am terrible with punctuation. Clearly The Alberta Hospital Party & its Leader Clark are polling in the LXX (70) seat plus range majority territory.
