Dear Demetrios:

XIth Mayor Of Edmonton George Seale Armstrong was a businessman & pharmacist (then called druggist.) He presided over the Edmonton portion of the plebiscite to make the The Town Of Strathcona a part of Edmonton. It was a friendly annexation as Strathconians were also in favour as it would save administration costs to have both places under one jurisdictional name. George with his pharmacy background got a new hospital in place. Also, he put safety improvements in places for streetcars to make citizens safer. He also became Edmonton Postmaster to ensure mail & goods got to citizens efficiently.
