A carpenter like my dad, VIIIth Mayor Of Edmonton Charles May brought that good contracting sense to the Mayor's office. He also served quite ably as an Alderman. Charles got quality buildings like LeMarchand Mansion built for citizens to enjoy. He also arranged for a new railway station to be built for the national railways to make travel better for all & for commerce to be conducted easier. He was also involved in Edmonton Masonic Lodge affairs.
