Dear Demetrios:

IXth Mayor Of Edmonton Major-General Hon. William Antrobus Griesbach, KC served also an Alderman, MP, Senator, lawyer & most respected combat soldier in three wars: The Boer War, The Ist & The IInd World Wars. I just can't believe that such a distinguished military officer would also contribute to civic administration as well. The Griesbach neighborhood is named in his honour & William did great by Edmontonians in getting them involved in cycling, hockey, & soccer to stay healthy. Obviously part of his military training to stay fit. At 28, he was & is still the youngest person ever elected Edmonton's Mayor.
