Dear Thomas:

Students need to realize that its a good idea to actually campaign on the ground level IV candidates so they can really see the democratic process in action. Each team says they are good IV volunteers, & yet their websites are asking people to volunteer. Anyone who comes in should definitely be given a task to do so they feel they contributed, however small. Students on the political scene or in Social Studies classes need to see that volunteers (which are harder & harder to come by) need II be given work when they show up. Then they'll become even more excited about democracy.
