Dear Jeff:

A fellow Los Angeles Police Department officer is telling Sergeant Joe Friday that with V (5) different youth gangs on Los Angeles streets, its a pitch & fractured battle for every territory & every block for each gang to gain the upper hand & even to just hold the territory that they each control. The gang violence prevention officer is telling Sgt. Friday that its becoming open warfare & the Sgt. wants to ask for some clarification as to why there are so many gangs when usually its just one or two larger groups in a more concentrated form. He's being educated on the job by a fellow younger officer & this only make the Sarge a wiser cop himself as he will now have a better understanding of the juvenile/youth gang mindset & will now be better prepared to assist in coming up with strategies to quell & even snuff out the violence altogether.

"Well how come V (5) gangs Dan, is it supposed to be a free-for-all?"

"We Value Your Safety Ma'am",

Rory
