Dear Dave:

An Editor's Note: The District Of Columbia (which includes America's Capitol City of Washington) is run by the Government Of The United States Of America with a Mayor in charge, not a Governor. Therefore, Executive Dissertations takes the extraordinary step of changing the title of this post from "Gubernatorial" to "Mayoral", after all we must be accurate in our details must we not? Also, just because Washington is a "District" & not a "State" or a "Territory" doesn't mean it isn't United States land & therefore it must be listed in this canon of quotations.

Mayor Muriel Bowser (who runs a Capitol carved out of the States of Maryland & Virginia (with the Virginia portion ceded back) so a single municipal district style government can be created & run by the Mayor, but with the United States Congress having oversight authority, for the general information of political science students. Muriel's educational focus is on getting educational monies to invest in schools themselves so that the Capitol's youth have a better quality of education. Definitely a theme among many other politicians that this blog has featured.
