Dear David:

While I certainly applaud the creative initiative of the Edmonton Public School Board in switching their meetings from Tuesday evenings II Tuesday days, I think they might have been a bit hasty. If the Board were II truly satisfy the needs of all the citizenry within the division, they'd hold one meeting a month in the daytime & keep the other meeting at the old 6pm start time. In this way, family's who work different shifts could be sure to adjust their schedules in advance & figure out which meeting they wanted to attend. Plus day staff would know in advance when they'd have to stay extra hours. Continuous internet live streaming of the meetings is also great., it lets folks get to know how much care their trustees take in their decision making process.

Surf"board",

Rory
