Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

Checking on a badly burned young girl who was soaking wet & obviously dumped in a nearby lake, Detective Joe Friday of the Los Angeles Police Department & his colleagues assume she is dead. Suddenly, she awakens but is so badly injured from her beating dies just hours later while in hospital care. The Det. checks files of missing young girls in their teen years & finds two open cases, he has both sets of parents come down & asks the dad of one of the girls (who has said the victim is his daughter) if she had boyfriends or really close people that she might associate with. In this way, since the body was found XLV (45) minutes from downtown Los Angeles, he can determine if the body was dumped there or at an alternate locale. This will save Det. Friday & his squad considerable time & effort in tracking down initial investigatory leads.

"Besides from boys, any men she might have had contact with?"

"Lead On" Joe,

Rory
