Dear Dave:
Radio & media broadcast students take note of the excellent work being done by the new pairing of the very lovely & talented Nicola Crosbie, ex chief weather gal on Global News Edmonton & the even more lovely & talented Lochlin Cross. The two of them really have their game down in only two months on the air at 95.7 CRUZ FM on your radio. A "cross"-pattern overlay of broadcast talent to be sure, I have great respect for Lochlin as he has a wealth of experience in the field & would be a great mentor to up & coming media students. Especially in giving them confidence to write script/copy & appear on the air! Look at Loughlin's great history!
I. Its no "cross" for Lochlin to bear as he graduated in broadcasting from the British Columbia Institute Of Technology (BCIT.)
II. Lochlin can "cross" over from one format to another quite easily. After working both in British Columbia & Alberta, Lochlin stepped & worked at 100.3 The Bear FM doing hard rock & roll. His ability to adapt shows because he has now switched over to pop music & lighter rock hits while also providing excellent banter with his new co-host Nicola. This is quite an accomplishment as they are still getting to know one another & find their footing with the new show. Lets hope they don't get "cross" with one another & "cross" over one another's paths. This would cause significant injury.
III. "Cross" your heart with hope as Lochlin does great work for superb charities such as the Sign of Hope, Stollery Childrens Hospital, United Way, & Christmas Bureau, as well as many other fine charities. By being so involved, he is lending his radio "voice" & media talent & experience to guarantee these fine groups gets the funds & resources they need to continue helping the sick & less fortunate in our community!
L'Alberta Bleu "Cross",
Rory
