Senator Heidi Heitkamp of The Rough Rider State of North Dakota looks at the issue of promoting healthy work environments for kids & what better way to do that then by promoting "Take Our Daughters & Sons To Work Day?" In this way, school kids learn about career options from parents &/or parental figures or peer group leaders.
"As children, kids see their parents leave for work each day without fully understanding what it is they do. Through the Take Our Daughters & Sons To Work Program, hundreds of thousands of children have the opportunity to see what jobs & possible career paths from those who they admire most-their parents."
