"The Eye Of The Tiger!"

Dear Adriana:

In the "campaign" to get used sporting equipment to youth & families who cannot afford it, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation is on the right track. The Oilers could make Semenko IIIrd jerseys with Dave's image on them & "Dave's Drive" logo IIIrd jerseys as well for sale as they could be used to raise funds as well. They call it "Dave's Drive" in memory of the legend number #27 Dave Semenko whose skill in the fighting & bodychecking arena of hockey was just as valuable as any scoring player in helping the team win multiple Stanley Cups. It really is just an offshoot of the exact same idea of the old "Tiger Goldstick Fan Club." (Tiger would have been quite pleased to have Dave's name succeed him as its all about the kids first) with the assistance of the great John Short (over 80 & still writing awesome sports columns) collected used sporting goods. I as a a child got to help pick these items up & take them to Tiger's Depot for distribution. I believe this was at the old CFRN Television Broadcast Studios (now CTV Edmonton) Plus I got to meet many of these great kids at Edmonton Trappers Baseball Games in Tiger's Club Box.

So In This Election "Campaign" Season Please Support "Dave's Drive",
